About Us

WHO WE ARE

Juan Barbosa started Barbosium Fitness, home of BF Bootcamp, in May of 2015 in order to help more people reach their fitness goals and change their lives. He is passionate about encouraging others and challenging them to reach their potential. Focusing on building a community of positive, like minded individuals, BF Bootcamp was created to help the Niskayuna community get fit, have fun, and feel great.

Juan has over 10 years of experience in the fitness industry as an athlete (Sponsored HEAD racquetball player), strength and conditioning coach, boot camp coach and personal trainer. He has worked with a variety of clients including both males and females, fitness newbies and competitive athletes. Juan regularly does bootcamp and crossfit workouts, recently competing in the Spartan Beast Obstacle Race at Killington VT (3 Years) and winning a local crossfit competition in the Capitol District of NY (Shatterslam 2015).

Besides fitness and helping others develop and reach their potential, Juan currently leads the music ministry at Awaken Church playing acoustic guitar and singing lead vocals. He loves Awaken and is thankful to be a part of what God is doing there. For fun, he loves cliff jumping, playing in his cover band, competing in Squash, and training for various obstacle races. He looks forward to helping you change your life and finally achieve the fat loss you deserve.

Our Fitness Classes

CROSS TRAINING

We start with 3 Strength Training Rounds before advancing to the Endurance Part of the workout.

TABATA

8 Stations with a Full Round of Tabata at each.

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING

We complete 2 Rounds of Strength Movements before ending with the Barbosium Fitness Conditioning Ladder of the Day.

LARGE CIRCUIT

16 Partnered Stations completed for 2 Complete Rounds.

BOXING

Boxer and Padder throw punching combinations and then advance to a station for a fixed period of time.
